What is MME treatment?
MME stands for Magnetic Molecular Energizer. It was invented by Dean Bonlie D.D.S., It is a device that applies the laws of electro magnetism and applies a direct current to the affected part of the body. It is otherwise known as Magnetic Therapy.
The program has proven quite beneficial for patients suffering from recent injuries as well as injuries of long standing. It combines MME therapy, nutritional supplements and physical therapy (including massage therapy) to facilitate rapid recovery.
MME Treatment: Magnetic therapy consists of the application of high gauss electromagnets (similar to an MRI). The patient lies between the focal point of the magnets. The amount of MME treatment required will depend on the nature of the injury, whether it is recent or a chronic condition, the patient’s overall health, etc.
Nutrition: MME Treatment results in rapid cellular renewal and creates special nutritional requirements for maximum results. Optimum nutritional conditions could reduce magnet time by as much as 25%.
Physical Therapy: Most injuries benefit from physical and/or massage therapy, We strongly urge our patients to undergo physical therapy evaluation and to participate in a recovery program custom-designed by our Physical Therapy team.
Patients have experienced pain relief and increased mobility in as little as 20 hours of MME treatment. While the amount of MME treatment required will vary with the severity and age of the injury, patients who live in the Piedmont Triad can easily incorporate the MME treatment into their normal routine.
MME Treatment and Sports Injuries
Sports injuries most often involve the soft tissues - ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves and fascia, the connective tissue that ties them together.
When a muscle, tendon, or ligament is torn, or a nerve is damaged, the body heals itself in stages: inflammation, repair, remodeling or adaptation. Prolonged inflammation and muscle spasm immobilizes the affected area and represents delayed healing and produces scar and adhesions. Injuries are usually cumulative... every time we hurt ourselves the damage piles up and predisposes the tissue to surgical intervention - until now.
Pain Relief Program
Pain can make life miserable. Whether it is of long standing (chronic) or has recently manifested itself... whether it as a result of injury or a disease such as arthritis... pain can dominate your life, and make every action a misery.
Diagnosis and Assessment: Dr. Pearce is Board Certified in Pain Management, and will oversee your treatment program. They have successfully treated patients whose pain is a result of arthritis and other inflammatory diseases; injuries, including sports injuries, repetitive motion injuries, injuries resulting from falls, and car accidents; pain as a symptom of other disease processes, such as chronic fibromyalgia syndrome.

MME treatment may reverse the unwanted effects of scar and adhesions. It has proven effective in relieving pain and stiffness. Patients receiving MME have increased range of motion, and in many cases, function has been restored - without surgery. AMRI of North Carolina has X-ray and MRI evidence of cartilage repair of disc material following magnet treatments.
